Much has been written about the Google/Microsoft battle in cloud computing.  Google Apps claims about 30m users, most of whom pay nothing.  By contrast, Office is a $22bn business that grew nearly 20 per cent in the last year. Office’s customers also are incredibly sticky and there is no reason to think they will not remain so if computing shifts to the cloud.
