The Labor Day (U.S.) weekend edition of the “Top 20 … plus more” – a compendium of e-discovery articles, vendor news and upcoming events

Note to our law firm, corporation and vendor members:  many of you have asked us about our RFP list.  As most of you know membership on the listservs of The Posse List and Project Counsel (our European sister company) now exceeds 30,000.  They include attorneys, paralegals, accountants, computer forensic specialists, translators/interpreters,  law firm HR departments, in-house corporate law departments, government agencies (U.S., Canada, and the EMEA), e-discovery vendors, legal services vendors, media (LexisNexis, Thomson Reuters, Financial Times, for example), bar associations, law school recruitment offices, etc.  As a result various entities have sent us Requests for Proposals and ask us to distribute these to our members.  They can be for an array of legal services (not exclusively ediscovery).

Up to this point we have forwarded these RFPs to members who we thought would best meet the requirements of the RFP.  But now the RFP flow has spiked considerably.  So next week we will launch a more formalized service and send the RFPs to the entire law firm, corporation and vendor member database.  We will have a formal announcement next week.  To those of you in the States, enjoy your weekend.  Now on to this weekend’s “Top 20 … plus more”:
Our weekend “Top 20 … plus more” … a snapshot of some interesting e-discovery blog/web site posts, vendor news/views on a wide range of electronic discovery related issues, and other tech developments from the past week.    It is compiled by Master Sensei Social Media Guru Rob Robinson who is Vice President of Marketing for Orange Legal Technologies, a company that is a long-time member and sponsor of The Posse List and The Electronic Discovery Reading Room.

Rob compiles the information from online public domain resources and highlights key electronic discovery related stories, developments, and announcements.
